CrossCheck

CrossCheck is included with iPort and enables on-the-spot 100% quality assurance of translated documents produced with FrameMaker® and InDesign®. Use this service to check layout and content of a translated document against the source to find untranslated text, text that appears missing or carries opposite meaning, numbers that do not match those in the original, wrong symbols, missing brackets, different point sizes, text overflows, etc. CrossCheck is lightning fast and enables direct navigation to the errors it finds for quick confirmation and correction.

Correcting Files

When you check DTP files with CrossCheck, they open inside their native application, and from the superimposed Navigation Dialog you can see and correct errors at will.
CrossCheck keeps the source file open together with your target file. This way, you can quickly verify text and correct and eliminate errors. As errors are fixed, they disappear from the dialog. Once the dialog is free from errors, you can consider your document a perfect match of the original.

Ease of Correction

In the error list, simply click on an indicated error to call up the exact place where it is. Then auto correct it or edit the document manually to eliminate the error.

You can customize CrossCheck as you want and even save preferred error search patterns.
The error search is dynamic. If you forget to add an error, or if you want to ignore specific errors, you can change the errors CrossCheck searches for on the fly to get a report of only those you want to look for.

MALTESE
Maltese is the national language of Malta, and island in the Mediterranean, where it enjoys co-official status together with English since 1934. Maltese originates from Siculo-Arabic (the Arabic dialect that developed in Sicily and the rest of Southern Italy), but has substantial borrowed vocabulary from Sicilian, Italian and recently also English. The percentage of borrowed words is estimated to be more than 50%. It is the only Semitic language written in the Latin alphabet.


Today, in the general population, there is a trend towards increased used of English, and many parents nowadays choose to bring up their children in English.
